Information Collection and Use
EmailFactory.com is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. EmailFactory.com collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Registration and Orders
In order to sign up for mailing lists or contests on the EmailFactory.com website, a user must provide a first name, last name, zip code, and email address. This information is used to contact the user with mailings and contest information for which they have expressed interest. Contests and lists are the property of the owner who creates or uploads them to the EmailFactory system. Owners are fully responsible for their own individual lists and contests. EmailFactory employees may access list or contest information for administrative purposes, but no mailings will be sent to subscribers or entrants from EmailFactory staff.

List owners are required to provide the same information as list subscribers and contest entrants. Additionally, they must choose a secure password for access to the owners’ site, and must provide valid credit card information (including the number and expiration date). This information is strictly for billing purposes. EmailFactory.com also requests that a valid billing address be provided. Credit card transactions are processed internally. AuthorizeNet is used to access our merchant bank and thus serves as a third party intermediary. Information is not stored, retained, or used by them.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on the EmailFactory.com site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. Affiliate cookies may last as long as two weeks. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing
We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we at EmailFactory.com are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. EmailFactory.com Newsletter
If a user wishes to subscribe to the EmailFactory.com informational mailing list, we ask for contact information such as name, email address, and zip code. After opting-in to the newsletter, you always have the power to remove yourself. To stop receiving the newsletter, please see the opt-out section below.

Referrals
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about a contest on our site, we ask them for the friend’s name and email address. EmailFactory.com will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site to enter the contest. EmailFactory.com stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact EmailFactory.com at http://www.emailfactory.com to request the removal of this information from the database.

Security
EmailFactory.com takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected.

Subscription and Membership
We send all new list owners a welcoming email to verify password and username. New list members and contest entrants are sent welcome messages. List members will receive list mailings as frequently or infrequently as the list owner sees fit to send them out. List subscribers are free to opt-out of lists at any time without penalty. If users reply to the list mailing with ‘remove’ in the subject area and the ‘from’ address is not the owner’s email address, the EmailFactory system automatically removes them from the system. If the from address is the owner’s email address, then the owner is responsible for manually honoring the requests. If a subscriber clicks on the ‘unsubscribe’ link found at the bottom of the email message, the EmailFactory system automatically removes the user from the list. Contest entrants are free to withdraw their entries in contests at any time without penalty as well. See below for our opt-out choices.

Site and Service Updates
Users may occasionally receive site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a list owner’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that list owner’s personal data provided to us. To change member information, an owner may log in to the owner’s site and change her information using the ‘Account Information – Edit’ menu option. Should a list owner cancel membership with EmailFactory.com his information is inactivated in the EmailFactory.com database.

Choice/Opt-out
List subscribers who wish to remove themselves from a mailing list thereby receiving no further mailings from that list have two choices for doing so. First, they may reply to a list mailing with the subject head "Unsubscribe". Second, they may click on the unsubscribe link provided in each list mailing. Contest entrants may opt-out of a contest thereby discontinuing their entries in that contest by clicking on the “Remove” link found in the initial contest mailing. Or, they may log in to the contest site and click on “Remove”.

Notification of Changes
If we at EmailFactory.com decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the EmailFactory.com homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email or on the EmailFactory.com homepage. Users will have the choice to opt-out of receiving further EmailFactory.com services. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
